After BKHS I attended Mansfield College, majoring in ELED (Elementary Education) where – freshman year - I met the man who later became my husband, Kiehl. We graduated in 1974, and after college he played in bands for many years, and I taught at Epiphany of Our Lord in Plymouth Meeting for four years. We were married in 1981 and at that time I was working for my brother’s landscaping company.
We had two sons in the mid 80’s - Kris and Zack. I changed jobs and went to work with Upper Merion school district in 1987, where I taught 1st and 2nd grades for 11 years. Continuing my higher education, I got my Master’s degree from Gwynedd Mercy College, and became a Reading Specialist for the remainder of my career. I retired in 2014 after doing a job I loved for many years.
I have traveled sporadically over the years: Antigua, London, Italy, Greece, Ireland, St. Martin, and would love to travel more now. After retirement I have been taking art classes, and have been doing pastel paintings every day since then. I am enjoying every moment!
