After graduation I had a few office jobs which I found boring. In 1977 I decided that being a travel agent would be interesting and it was. I finally retired in 2017 after 40 years of doing this and I promise I never found it boring. I specialized in international and specialty travel so I always had something to learn. It gave me the opportunity to travel that many don't get the chance to do.

In 2006 I rescued a pug who had a wonderful disposition and temperament that took me into the world of Therapy Dogs. We volunteered with an organization called Pals For Life, we started when she was 2 1\2. During that time we worked with mentally challenged kids (mostly autistic) and adults. We visited nursing homes and on one occasion worked with students studying to be doctors to show them the value of these special animals for their patients.

My pug made such a difference in my life that I wanted to make that happen for others so I became involved with The Delaware Valley Pug Rescue, becoming their Event Coordinator in 2008. I guess my planning days as an agent helped with this. 2020 was my hardest year as I was only able to do one outdoor event and one virtual event. Hoping this year is better as I normally run 4 to 5 events a year as well as doing the John Rebels Dog Walk every May.

In 2018 I sold my home and purchased a condo so I had more time doing what I wanted, and did not have to spend all my time and money taking care of a house. Loving retirement and am enjoying my friends and family, well at least I was prior to the pandemic.
